Nathan Voris (00:09):
My name is Nathan Voris. I am director of investments, insights and consultant services at Schwab Retirement Plan Services. It's a great place to do what I love. I think about my 20 year career and the ebbs and flows across the 401k market in a 20, 25 year period. Experience matters. We learn from the things that we do well and the things that maybe we fall down on. And so building that collectively, I think makes us better the next time. The key to success is simply listening. Listening to participants, listening to the plan sponsor, listening to the advisor and the consultant to understand what their goals and objectives are. We try to act as a connector to make the client's life easier. You think about the data that we have available to us. You think about ERISA consulting and advisory programs, financial wellness, all of the things that for many plan sponsors and advisors are important components of success.
Understanding that, making sure they're connected to the right solutions is one of the things that we try to focus on. Our job is to make sure they have the tools and resources to be successful and to do the work that they're hired to do for the plan sponsor. We have an open architecture approach. We try to empower that advisor and consultant to really do whatever they need to do from a fiduciary perspective. Whether that's investment menu, advice managed accounts, how they serve the participant, really embracing that fiduciary duty and putting them in the driver's seat. I think Schwab Retirement Plan Services is on the short list to so many advisors in terms of record keeping because we do it right.
